A bit about us

We are in a unique position to provide a choice of lenders to the regular high street shopper giving them the best offer on finance the items they want to buy. By connecting retailers and their customers with the correct lender we take on no risk but provide a fast and seamless digital service that is sitting right at the forefront of the FinTech sector. 2017 spells a shift in the business and with the planned release of a number of features and products we are looking to expand our design team.

A bit about the role
With a rapidly growing business, we are in need of a savvy and switched on designer to help with the day-to-day research. Aspects of our system are complex and making them feel simple and intuitive to use is no easy task. The role encompasses everything required of today’s designer in a startup-shaped community: UX, UI, Hackathons, Design Sprints, presentations, interviewing, field work, testing, questioning, autonomous and team work, agile workflow, sketching, chin scratching, talking, helping and being the driving force behind the power of design thinking. The work created will have a direct impact on the business therefore articulation and delivery to the senior members of the company will be required.

A bit about you
1-2 years experience. A head for user-centred solutions, an eye for modern, cutting edge design and creative mind for unique micro-interactions and UI patterns. A mobile-first thought path and a desire to learn on the go and think on your feet. UX is the big acronym for this position but you will touch on multiple aspects of the process as well as discuss ideas with product managers, engineers and other members of the business. You will also be involved in the marketing side of things when required to help shape how we talk about our products to a wider audience. You do not need a huge amount of experience but a desire to learn and enjoy yourself.

This is a great opportunity to be involved in a business that is growing and not yet established, to shape the future of our products and be exposed to the exciting and diverse financial sector. It’s time to shake up and challenge the old way of thinking and do something completely new.

The tools we use are Balsamiq, Sketch, Keynote, Postit’s, paper and pen.
