Art Director at Everywhere

Everywhere is a varied and expansive game, and defining and maintaining a coherent visual style across the breadth of its environments is a challenging and critical role. The position of Art Director involves working closely with design and technical teams as well as the art department, to ensure this artistic vision is fit for purpose, feasible, and deliverable.
As a new IP, there is considerable scope for innovation and experimentation, and the role will involve significant hands-on creative work as well as directing the team. The successful applicant will also be motived by improving workflows, and will have experience working with large teams.

You will be joining the studio at an exciting time, as we scale up to develop an ambitious and groundbreaking open-world game. The role brings with it great scope for career growth and the satisfaction of making a significant personal contribution to a high-profile project.

We believe in iterative development, and you will need to be comfortable working in a fluid environment with competing demands. We also believe the best games are made by diverse teams, and we welcome and encourage applicants of all backgrounds.

Responsibilities:

- Work with the leadership team to define the overall artistic vision of the game, and drive the realisation of that vision.
- Work with other artists and the technical team to define standards, pipelines, and processes to ensure the art department can deliver to an agreed standard.
- Work closely with technical artists and animators to define requirements and understand technical limitations.
- Manage and mentor more junior artists.
- Creation and tracking of production schedules.

Requirements:

- Wide range of experience with 3D modelling and lighting, including a good understanding of modern tools and techniques in character modelling, environment art, and ideally animation.
- Extensive video game experience, including having shipped at least one AAA PC/console title.
- Experience managing artists, in either a lead or director role.
- Strong communication skills, and comfortable working across teams.
