Freelance Arts Editor at DojoDojo is all about squeezing the good stuff out the city - recommending where to go and what to do by listing the best restaurants, bars, exhibitions, gigs and everything else happening in London and Paris. We want to keep pushing the boundaries with our suggestions and need a strong editorial team to do that.
We're looking for a Freelance Arts Editor for the London app with an insatiable appetite for unearthing everything new/ exciting/ weird/ wonderful in the art world. We need an art writer who's able to write about art without the usual overtly intellectual, dry and opaque language found on press releases at galleries; someone able to tell it how it is with honesty and humour along with imparting their knowledge.
This role is centred around managing and curating the art and photography that appears on the app. That includes adding listings for any of the exhibitions and shows worth going to; be that a preview or a review. In addition, and based on those listings added to the app, the ideal candidate would build the weekly Arts Radar feature that currently appears on the app. Our brand and editorial tone of voice is really important to us - it's crucial that you can write colloquially, engagingly and intelligently.
