Studio Manager/Project Manager at Jonny Lu Studio

Jonny Lu Studio is looking for a candidate to fill a bridged role of Studio Manager and Project Manager. They will be responsible for both the efficient running of the studio and also supporting the Account Director on end-to-end project management. Reporting to the senior management staff while working alongside the creative team, this role involves organising and supervising all administrative activities and helping to manage and deliver projects spanning print, digital and moving image. They will act as the main point of contact for or staff/suppliers and support the Creative Director, Account Director and Accountant with key administrative tasks. An integral part of the studio this role is perfect for a highly organised, enthusiastic and trustworthy individual with an interest in management within the creative industry.

This role is ideally suited to an individual looking to gain great experience in studio, project, account, finance and business management. The ideal candidate must show clear interpersonal skills, excellent management and communication skills, and should be familiar with Xero (or similar finance management software), Microsoft Excel and Word. They will have had previous experience in a similar managerial role and working on company finances/ bookkeeping. They will be used to working in a fast-paced environment, preferably within a creative studio.

Jonny Lu Studio is a multi-disciplinary creative direction practice of 8-10 staff. The Studio works with international luxury, fashion and cultural clients across all media including brand identity, packaging, print and digital design, filmmaking, and web development. Clients include: Chloé, Christopher Kane, Diane Von Furstenberg, Givenchy, Ivy Park, Louis Vuitton, LOVE, Marc Jacobs, Peter Pilotto, Topshop and Victoria Beckham among others. The studio also undertakes the role of Creative Direction for BEAT Magazine, and also works closely with international conservation charity World Land Trust.

Studio Management:
- Responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the studio
- Front of house management
- Ensure all studio spaces are kept orderly and oversee any studio maintenance and repair
- Main point of contact for key suppliers
- Manage archiving and filing systems (both print and digital)
- Seek ways to improve processes and drive efficiencies across all areas within the office
- Support the Senior Management team in the effective running of Jonny Lu Studio as a business
- Point person and managing of interns/assistants
- Manage all travel itineraries involving booking flights, Eurostars and hotels
- Occasional PA duties for senior management team

Project & Production Management:
- Experience in supporting role or sole management and delivery of projects spanning various media to clients
- Experienced in creating and managing schedules and work flow across multiple projects
- Identifying key benchmarks and flagging any issues with senior management
- End-to-end involvement and management from initial conception, creative development, production and content creation through to final delivery, activation and maintenance
- Working closely with the senior management team and creative team on a regular and timely basis to ensure effective and efficient implementation of every project

HR Administration:
- Act as the first point of contact for any general staff queries
- Responsible for helping to manage Studio diary alongside Account Director
- Administer HR-related documentation, such as interview requests, NDAs, contracts, and pensions information
- Oversee and manage Jonny Lu Studio’s work placement programme, including recruitment

Finance Administration:
- Recording office expenditure, petty cash processing, reconciling accounts
- Sending and receiving invoices
- Payment to third party vendors and general studio expenses
- Reporting to Account Director and Accountant

Essential experience required:
- Xero accounting or experience with similar business/finance accounting software
- Excel
- Familiar with Adobe InDesign skills
- Previous experience in a studio management and/ or project management role
- Previous experience supporting Senior Management team
