With a player audience in the tens of millions, Playstack is now recruiting for a UA Video Editor/ Motion Graphic Designer to join our marketing team and define and create the assets to scale our business for the next 100 million players.

As an artist in Playstack, you will have the opportunity to work across the entire portfolio of games – our games are very varied with an emphasis on mobile - from top down real-time strategy or first-person adventures through puzzles and platformers to licensed VR and AR experiences. You’ll be in direct contact with the teams who are making the game to help support them at all stages of development. The art team are specialists (2d, Motion and 3d) but happy to work cross-discipline – and it’s our challenge to present all the games in fresh and compelling ways across the entire marketplace. Your core focus would be User Acquisition creatives – however Launch trailers, Social media campaigns, live action shoots, Branding and Art direction and asset creation for developers is all in in the mix; and as a team, we dive in. We are hands on, and support each other to get the job done.


The Role

We are looking for someone who has a fast-moving, retail approach to ideas and production. We understand that in order to be a successful UA artist, the ability to take onboard the direction of a projects marketing campaign - then present its USP quickly and clearly into multiple different routes and execute, is very much at the heart of the UA Artists skillset.

Working with our dedicated User Acquisition team and the team at large – you’ll be creating exciting and stand-out UA trailers that launch themselves off the screen – you’ll follow and set trends within the UA market to cut through the competition and capture potential users attention. Fast, daring, unflappable – your bold use of type and graphics, razor sharp editing and transitions are brought bear in every project – this is how you like to work.

You’ll show understanding of the brief you work on together with the teams that lead our games. With the formats required - you’ll quickly translate how a project needs to be originated so it can be quickly shared into Landscape, Portrait and Square versions. A solid production artist.


You Will

  • Be the point person for the creation of UA trailers/videos
  • Conceptualise and create stand-out, themed promotional adverts and videos
  • Work with the dedicated User Acquisition team, Head of Art, the Art Team, and the wider company to brainstorm and develop work with real impact
  • Support the company's marketing across all platforms, stores and media channels
  • Be hands-on throughout the creative process - from brief, game capture, concept and into production, VFX and SFX, through to polished final
  • Be passionate about 3d Art (Blender/Autodesk Maya) willing to train up on the fly to take in new practices, techniques and processes – flexibility and a positive approach to creative challenges are a must


About You

  • Expert with Adobe Creative Suite: After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator
  • Comfortable with 3d principals (Blender / Maya) – Texturing Rendering to the formatting and exporting of high-quality images and sequences to help boost the games quality in your trailer work.
  • Exceptional prioritisation skills to manage a large pipeline of tasks across the team.
  • Effective communication skills to foster cohesive working relationships
  • Familiarity with popular games across a variety of genres and platforms
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people with different requirements and ways of working Positive and Motivated – You are a driven artist, up for a challenge and thrive in a team of like-minded people.
