Dream candidate

We’re looking for a Senior Copywriter with a passion for creative concepts and beautifully crafted copy. Our ideal candidate will be a storyteller - comfortable working solo or as the copy arm of an Art Director/Copywriter partnership, bringing original, insight-led concepts and activation ideas to every creative brief. Reporting into the Creative Director and working closely with both strategists and creative planners, you’ll be able to intelligently challenge the creative strategy laid out in the brief and deliver on-brand, on-brief ideas and copy that get the whole agency and the client excited.


Day-to-day

  • You’ll interrogate briefs and creative strategies to come up with original, insightful creative solutions that show a real understanding of audience-led thinking.
  • You’ll be confident presenting your work both inside the agency and to clients.
  • You’ll relish working solo on copy projects and alongside an Art Director on conceptual challenges.
  • You’ll be equally comfortable writing short and punchy ‘ad’ copy and long promotional or educational copy.
  • You’ll write presentations, manifestos and sample copy to sell your ideas to clients.
  • You’ll write scripts, voiceovers, web copy, storyboards, social copy etc. to execute your ideas in the world.
  • You’ll direct voiceover and live action performances for video-based work.
  • You’ll help write and edit strategic communication frameworks, narratives and messages alongside the strategy and creative strategy teams.
  • You’ll work on new business pitches and proposals, contributing to presentation decks as well as presenting in the room.
  • You’ll manage and/or mentor more junior Art Directors.
  • You’ll constantly look for new ways to improve the way we work and the quality of the agency’s creative product.
  • You’ll keep on top of best practice and emerging trends in advertising, marketing and communications.
  • You’ll get involved with Given marketing projects with characteristic creative flair.


About You

  • You’ll have at least 7 years’ agency experience as a Creative Copywriter. That might be in our part or in a different part of the industry. Experience in brand purpose or sustainability is also a real advantage.
  • You’ll love working collaboratively. Co-creation is how we work.
  • You’ll bring bags of energy and ideas.
  • You’ll really own your projects, driving them through and making them effective.
  • You’ll believe in making purposeful work that has real positive impact.
