Studio Egret West is a multi-disciplinary practice of 70 urban designers, landscape architects, graphic designers and model makers working on a range of mixed use, place-making projects. We are looking for an enthusiastic receptionist to join our award winning architecture practice and showroom in Clerkenwell. People are key to Studio Egret West and your days will never the same here. The successful candidate will be working in unison with the Studio Coordinator and ensure that the day-to-day studio life runs smoothly. Our studio is a sociable place to work and we have a positive approach to everything that we do.


  • Receive and welcome clients and guests into the studio.
  • Answer incoming calls with the assistance of the Studio Coordinator.
  • Make and serve tea/coffee and manage meeting rooms (with the assistance of the Studio Coordinator).
  • Manage the meeting room schedule.
  • Organise daily post incoming and distribute to team members as and when the post arrives.
  • Ordering weekly cleaners supplies and responsible for ensuring supplies are topped up.
  • Organise all courier deliveries.
  • Order weekly grocery shop.
  • Booking any on the spot taxi’s and assist the Studio Coordinator with organising courier deliveries.
  • Make sure that the studio is always presentable and kept tidy, and let the Studio Coordinator know if anything needs thorough attention.
  • Assist the Studio Coordinator with lunches for CPD’s when needed.
  • Maintain photocopiers/printers/ including monitoring supplies.
  • Weekly cleaning of in-house coffee machine.
  • Assist the Studio Coordinator with weekly fire safety tests.

This can be a part-time/full-time position suitable for someone wanting to work ‘front of house’ in a fast-paced and highly creative environment as a receptionist. You must have excellent communication skills and a confident telephone manner. Experience in using Microsoft Office and using an Apple Mac are desirable but not essential.

The ideal candidate is someone who wants to work in a desk-based role in a creative studio but not from an architectural background.
