Glug Hosts Community Manager

The last year has seen huge growth for the Glug network as a global franchise and we have some exciting endeavours in the pipeline. So, we’re looking for an ambitious, outgoing and all-around-awesome Hosts Community Manager to join the team. While our team collaborate on a variety of tasks, the HCM’s main focus will be to oversee the community aspect of the global Glug brand, and ultimately support and manage the growth of the Glug network, while being a personable brand ambassador whenever out and about.

Working closely with our chapter hosts in over 45+ cities worldwide this role would suit someone who has a flair and skill for global communications, who can build and maintain relationships at all levels.

We’re looking for someone with a passion for championing the creative industry by delivering and supporting brilliant events. Someone who is a strategic forward thinker able to achieve team and individual targets. Previous experience in community development and management will be extremely advantageous within the role as we’re looking for someone to come in and fly from day one.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Community / Franchise Management

  • Outreach - strategically identify leading creatives eager to open regional franchises.
  • Carry out our on-boarding process for new hosts.
  • Controlling and handling communications with our host community, supporting them in holding events, answering questions - involving regular check in meetings.
  • Overseeing event quality across the host community, including ensuring inclusivity and accessibility measures are carried out.
  • Updating and managing of spreadsheets for regular reviews with CEO.
  • Coordinating with our sales manager to promote commercial connections across the Glug network.
  • Updating and creating feedback forums and information decks for host.
  • Updating host community social pages to create a transparent, supportive and inclusive community atmosphere for host.

Content Assisting/ Curation

  • Assistance in conceptualising and direction of content strategy and marketing campaigns.
  • Coordinating with our content strategist to relay global host news and content opportunities.
  • Editing of internal communication documents/materials and keeping the website up to date with our global events and new chapter hosts.

Event Planning

  • As a small but mighty team we’d be looking for someone who thrives in a “we’re in this together” environment, who can get involved in the event planning and delivery of our London events chapter.


  • Strong interpersonal communications skills - ability to build strong and supportive working relationships globally.
  • Be an outgoing and approachable representative of Glug’s brand values at events and internal communications.
  • Commercial awareness - strategically identifying key franchise development opportunities, balancing both a local and global approach.
  • Research Skills - an ability to identify key talking points and leading creatives within the global creative industry.
  • Accessibility and Inclusion - Understanding and ability to uphold Glug values, monitoring A&I processes and success among the host community.

Key Attributes:

  • You will have a sensibility for strategic organisation and planning, with an eye for commercial opportunity.
  • You will have some experience in relationship building, community and event management.
  • You have a passion and interest in the global creative industries.
  • As Glug is a fast moving and ever developing company, you will be comfortable in attributing forward thinking to daily tasks.
  • You will be comfortable working occasional evening hours during Glug events, including occasional trips to meet Glug hosts.
  • You will be a friendly and approachable communicator, who is at ease meeting new people and networking.
