It’s Nice That has a three-month opening for an editorial assistant to work across all It’s Nice That projects – itsnicethat.com, commercial partnerships, and our Nicer Tuesdays events.

This is an entry level role and we are looking for a candidate with an infectious enthusiasm for the creative industry. Candidates should have a basic knowledge of the core disciplines It’s Nice That covers, as well as an understanding of our tone of voice, history and overall mission and message.


You

  • Can write to deadline with flair and personality
  • Understand the It’s Nice That brand and have a wide understanding of the key creative disciplines It's Nice That covers
  • Enjoy the challenge of keeping several plates spinning at the same time
  • The successful applicant will work with the editorial and creative teams to deliver inspiring news and stories from across a wide range of creative disciplines


Key Skills

  • Writing accurately and to deadline
  • Solid research skills
  • Proactive and confident communication skills
  • Awareness of the design industry and creative world
  • Basic Photoshop experience to crop, resize and edit images
  • An interest in social media and digital publishing


Tasks

  • Researching emerging creatives from a range of disciplines, who we haven't written about before
  • Pitching and writing daily articles and occasional long-form features showcasing inspiring creative work
  • Contribute daily news stories
  • You will be expected to write using the It’s Nice That style guide and use our CMS to upload stories

  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am — 6pm (flexible hours between 8am – 7pm, except on Fridays)
  • Term: 3 months
  • Salary: £22,250 per annum
  • Location: 21 Downham Road, London N1 5AA, UK
