We are looking for a Community Manager who will bring their creative and friendly character to our independent, London Bridge-based co-working space: Hex Space.

This role will be part-time - 20 hours a week spread across 4-5 days but flexible.

The main aim of this job is to further develop our relationship with our residents and our network to share knowledge, gain experience, and build a space where people look forward to going to work.

HexSpace was created by HexStudio, a small and independent creative studio. We set up HexSpace as we believe life is better when we collaborate and create together. Our aim was to develop a characterful and flexible co-working environment that connects you with other inspiring, energetic and driven people.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

You will be sat with the HexStudio team (including our resident dog, Alma), working with them to create marketing materials, set programming and roll-out our business development materials for HexSpace by:

  • Being our ‘front of house’ - meeting and greeting members, guests and potential residents with an attentive and approachable attitude

  • Helping us develop, create, manage, and execute events to engage with the local community and partners, as well as our residents
  • Maintaining the highest level of occupancy and residents satisfaction at all times by ensuring member needs are attended to in a timely manner
  • Working with our Client Services Director and creative team to gain further exposure for HexSpace and grow our online presence
  • Overseeing the daily operations of the co-working space and the maintenance of a quality working environment including:
  • the ordering of supplies and input of receipt from vendors
  • managing contractors - cleaners, tradesman and utility providers
  • general day-to-day maintenance of the office


THIS IS WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate should have:

  • At least one year of prior experience in a customer-facing role - this job will require diplomacy in order to mitigate differences of opinion, deal with tricky customers and to find and negotiate the best solutions for our co-working community

  • Proficiency in spoken and written English is essential, alongside a friendly and approachable personality

  • A good grasp of social media and marketing

  • An understanding of the start-up scene and general interest in the business sector would be highly beneficial

  • Be able to have authority (to keep our community in ship shape!) but in an approachable and friendly way

  • Having enthusiasm and a drive to create fantastic designs
