What We Need You To Do

As an integral part of the Studio team, this is a busy and varied role, working closely with the Studio, Editorial, Social, Commercial and Events teams. You’ll lead on all creative projects throughout the year from our collectible print editions, market-leading events, to our definitive editorial reports and digital story-telling. You’ll deliver exceptional work that meets the required objectives as well as pushes the brand forward visually. The role requires creative vision, a versatile skill set, and impeccable execution, as well as an even temperament and the ability to perform under pressure when deadlines get tight.

To be successful in this role, you will:

Establish and maintain BoF’s aesthetic coherence and impact across all channels

Strategically develop all our brand visuals for both BoF as a whole and our major products: BoF Professional, BoF Careers, various BoF events

Art direct and design the BoF print issue, from conception through to final delivery, including all page layouts and commissioning of any photography or illustration

Art direct major BoF events such as BoF 500 and VOICES, along with any other brand or commercial events

Oversee all design work through the Studio including marketing and commercial requirements - for example new product launch campaigns, weekly emails and paid marketing assets

Work closely with our editorial and social teams to provide outstanding visuals to accompany written stories

Develop charts and infographics for our site and social that distil our analysis into appealing visuals

Consult on projects with other teams across film, audio, animation and digital

Create presentations or sales decks that best tell our compelling stories

Coach the junior creatives in the Design team

Commission creative talent for various projects

Manage external contacts including photographers, illustrators and freelancers

Work with the Head of Studio to develop strong internal processes and procedures

Build strong, professional and collaborative relationships with other teams, championing design thinking and the importance of our brand identity in every interaction

Promote a culture of excellence through your outstanding design skills and attention to detail

You’ll Know You’re Successful When…

You have successfully evolved the BoF brand identity and achieved consistency across all touchpoints.

Creative projects are delivered seamlessly by your high-performing team, and you’re incredibly joined up with other creative teams in the business.

Hiccups are practically non-existent owing to your high attention to detail, but if they do occur, your proactive problem solving skills and ability to perform well under pressure negate issues.

Feedback from our CEO and other teams in the business is outstanding
