12-month Fixed Term Contract (maternity cover)

Guildhall School of Music & Drama is a vibrant, international community of young musicians, actors and theatre technicians in the heart of the City of London. We produce outstanding graduates whose talents light up stages and concert platforms across the world. As well as providing professional training at undergraduate, postgraduate, junior and short course level, the School has a substantial programme of regular performances, encompassing concerts, recitals, plays, operas and musicals open to the general public.

We are looking for a creative, meticulous designer with excellent typographic skills and attention to detail to join our Marketing and Communications team. You must have a keen interest in current design trends and significant experience working as a designer.

You will design all printed and digital materials for Guildhall School including major publication design and production, such as prospectuses and annual reports; posters, flyers and signage design; digital marketing asset creation; and advertising artwork. You will be required to deliver exciting ideas and create elegant, outstanding pieces of design using industry standard software. You will ensure the School’s visual identity, originally created by Pentagram, is upheld across your design work.

You will be part of the Marketing and Communications department, but will be responsible for producing design and providing brand advice for departments across the Guildhall School and its partners, and therefore must be a professionally driven and highly organised individual that possesses the ability to take a brief all the way from concept through to delivery, whilst working to and managing a series of deadlines. This role is offered on a 12-month fixed term, maternity cover basis.

Closing date: Noon, 16 March 2020.
