We're on the hunt for a talented middleweight front-end developer to join a central-London design agency, with a broad mix of clients; from property to charity sectors. As an agency, they are 100% owned by their staff, offering a company dynamic unrivalled by most agencies.

The role focusses on developing standards-compliant front-end HTML/CSS/JS-based responsive websites and HTML e-mail for a number of major clients; as well as implement these pages on a number of server platforms. To also be a digital champion in the agency and to nurture the junior development team is imperative.


Role objectives

  • Work with designers and project managers to define functional/technical specifications and advise on technical limitations/possibilities
  • Proficient understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, accessible HTML, CSS pre-processors such as Sass, responsive design, cross-browser compatibility and source/revision control (Git)
  • Understanding of build tools such as Grunt, Gulp and Webpack
  • CMS experience with WordPress, Craft CMS and Drupal
  • Some PHP and MySQL experience
  • Experience using design tools including Adobe Photoshop, Sketch and Figma
  • An awareness of industry issues, trends and emerging technologies. Sharing these findings with team members with a view to incorporating these in future projects


Client contact

  • Liaise with clients in meetings – generally to provide feedback on timescales or respond to any technical questions from the client
  • Liaise with development partners as required.
