Lead Product Designer

A superb opportunity for a Lead Product Designer with experience in the e-commerce industry, along with some design flair, to join a successful online business and drive forward the evolution of its online presence.


Role and responsibilities include;

  • Become the go-to person for design and product decisions, in collaboration with product owner
  • Contribute to the larger product vision and design direction
  • Deliver high quality, well thought out designs that can be applied to the e-commerce site
  • Communicating to stakeholders and leaders about design thinking, rationale and direction
  • Develop and nurture productive relationships with fellow designers and key stakeholders in the business
  • Demonstrate strong managerial experience to look after and lead designers


This role has plenty of scope for career development and growth. In fact it yearns for someone capable of progressing within 18 months. To succeed in this role here are some skills and experiences we seek:

  • Strong UI and UX Design background
  • Experience running workshops, design sprints and user interviews and guerilla testing
  • End-to-end product design experience, wireframing and user flows
  • Managerial experience with designers
  • Familiarity with key design tools such as Sketch, Figma etc
  • Knowledge and understanding of design thinking and design systems
  • Can work to high-level ideas rather than specifications
  • Stakeholder management
  • Comfortable working in a highly agile, cross-functional team
  • Someone not afraid to tackle the hard problems and come up with new visions for the future
  • Self-directing and owns the end-to-end design process
  • Experience in leading multiple design teams and working with leadership
  • Some experience in brand design, content design and tone of voice
  • eCommerce background with focus on conversion rate and AB testing optimisations

This is a new position in a growing online business, with a clear vision for the future.

Salary range from £80,000 to £95,000 + benefits
