Our client, a service-first software company, is looking for a talented Creative Director with a focus on experience design to join their London office. This company has been operating for 13 years, providing customer support, ticketing systems, and chat bots alongside new software tools that enable organisations to improve customer relationships. They’re now starting to work on much larger-scale business transformation projects for big name brands, bringing in complex, highly-customisable product design. Despite working in this area for over a decade, the company still operates in a fast-paced, agile way, similar to a start up. Globally, they are a team of 40, with 10 people currently working on the Brand team and a view to continue growing.

As Creative Director, you will be heading up the Brand Experience team made up of graphic and 3D designers, artworkers and copywriters, in a role that comprises both design execution and leadership. Through use of smart systems and proper prioritisation, you will enable the speed and flexibility of the fast-growing company, working with internal partners in Events, Marketing, and even Real Estate to ensure the company’s brand output is consistent with their business initiatives. You will oversee all aspects of design for events, and beyond, in both virtual and physical spaces, working on projects with global impact with energy, ambition and diplomacy.

Essential Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in creating exceptional experiences, from digital product experiences, to global conferences to trade shows, executed to an impeccable standard.
  • Experience working in or with tech companies.
  • An outstanding track record of growing and leading creative teams, either in-house or in an agency.
  • An empathetic, powerful, and charming team captain.
  • A perfectionist with a keen eye for detail.
  • A fast and hands-on problem solver with the ability to generate innovative ideas.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, with a positive outlook.
  • Fantastic storytelling skills, with the ability to transform the sometimes mundane world of software into a fairytale.
  • Honest, with the confidence to speak up when a project is headed in the wrong direction.

Responsibilities include:

  • Working cross-functionally with the global Creative Team, including designers, copywriters, filmmakers, and photographers, presentation designers, and producers to ensure consistency across all brand touchpoints.
  • Partnering with the DesignOps Team to ensure projects are delivered on time and up to the stakeholders expectations
  • Managing the company’s network of creative agencies and guiding the work of their external partners, from event production companies to printers.
