Job Description

Manchester International Festival (MIF) invites great artists from across the globe to create extraordinary new work for the Festival, which is staged every two years at venues and found spaces across Manchester. Our future home is The Factory, a world-class cultural space being built in the heart of the city, where we’ll present a year-round programme and artists will be able to develop work of huge ambition and scale that they might not be able to anywhere else.

As a Creative Artworker you will deliver print and digital artwork for the 2021 Manchester International Festival (MIF) as part of our in-house design studio. Working under the direction of the studio’s Head of Design and external Design Agency, North, we are looking for a highly skilled and technical artworker to join the team in a fast-paced environment. Your role will include producing artwork consistently across a wide range of campaign material and MIF projects

You will be working closely with the Studio Manager and will be confident to take a verbal brief and interpret this correctly into print or digital ready artwork. The ideal candidate will have strong typography skills and a meticulous eye for detail with comprehensive pre-press and production knowledge. You will be responsible for implementing design templates across all formats and ensuring all artwork from the design studio is of a consistently high standard.

Salary: £27,000 per annum (pro rata)

This job role is a 7 month fixed-term contract (March-end Sept 2021)

Role closes 25 Feb 2021, with interviews taking place w/c 08 March 2021.
