The role:
Graphic designer to work in our creative team. The work is varied: apart from the day-to-day job of regular newsletter and campaigns, we have multiple branding and creative projects throughout the year. What you’ll do:


  • Interact with team to determine and analyse the scope of a project
  • Review final layouts to make needed suggestions for improvement
  • Recommend to Marketing Manager strategies to reach a certain audience
  • Design graphics that identify a product or communicate an idea
  • Determine colours, images, text style, and shapes to create layout
  • Create electronic and print version of designs using In Design and/or Illustrator and/or Photoshop 
  • Prepare rough draft of material based on agreed brief of Marketing Manager or art director
  • Relate with external printers or contractors on a regular basis to ensure highest quality and deadline are met
  • Proofread designs for errors before final printing or publishing
  • Conduct research on competitors and market trends
  • Incorporate recommended changes by the Marketing Manager into the final design
  • Create an innovative design for every project
  • Work as part of a team with stylists, photographers, illustrators, copywriters, web developers, and other specialists


Use your creative spirit and commercial acumen to create and/or design:
Flyers, Emails, Campaigns, Branding, Signage, Sales collateral, Social media collateral, Website maintenance, Presentations, Photography selection, and to maintain our creative platforms e.g. The Dots Merchandise design


Requirements:


  • In-depth knowledge of InDesign
  • Ability to use Illustrator and Photoshop 
  • 3+ years’ experience in house or freelancing. 
  • Innovative ideas to generate successful campaigns
  • Commercial acumen to understand how your work fits into the bigger picture
