Join COOK’s award-winning in-house creative team and design with purpose! A dream job for any recent design graduate; we are looking for an unusually talented junior graphic designer to work across all areas of COOK's internal and external brand communications. As a certified B Corp we believe in work with purpose, and you’ll love the idea that your designs and artwork will ultimately help us be a force for good in society. Providing graphic design and artwork for print, digital and in-store communications, you can be sure that variety is key in this role and that there will never be a dull day!

Typical tasks include designing display materials for shop windows; adverts; posters and point-of-sale materials; packaging, artworking for retail. You will also be responsible for compiling and designing the weekly internal newsletter, The COOK Telegraph.

There is the opportunity to contribute ideas and help shape creative campaigns. Candidates with talent in areas such as illustration and photography will have an opportunity to develop their work in a commercial context (although this would be in addition to day-to-day graphic design responsibilities).

Requirements:
University degree or equivalent; familiarity with InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop; eagerness to both learn and contribute; ability to grasp the visual framework of COOK's brand, with the aid of our Brand Guidelines; evidence of design talent; ability to work to tight briefs and deadlines; willingness to muck in and do mundane tasks with good spirit; and a passion for food will definitely help.

About COOK:
COOK is a pioneering frozen food company, a certified B Corporation and one of the country’s top 100 Best Companies To Work For (38th this year). Our business is purpose driven and values led: we believe all companies should be seeking to make their business a force for good in society.

Since 1997 we’ve been making remarkable food for your freezer, prepared by hand at our Kitchens in Kent (savoury) and Somerset (puddings) using the same ingredients and techniques you would at home. It means our food looks and tastes homemade (maybe even a bit better).

We have 89 shops and counting across the UK; concessions in 450+ farm shops and independent retailers; and a fast-growing home delivery business.

Our brand needs to be remarkable, handmade/homemade, foodie, honest and authentic, with a strong independent voice and look that enables us to stand apart from the supermarkets.
