THE ROLE
The design and UX of our product is at the very heart of our business. We’re looking for an experienced designer with an ‘end-to-end’ skillset to play a key role in delivering our next wave of features and help build out effective, scalable UX processes. Your core skill is interface design, but you will be involved at every stage of the process from requirements gathering, to prototype testing, to evaluation.

This an opportunity to work on next-level data tools with ambitious UX goals and compelling design challenges. You will have a high level of autonomy, developing our established design language to bring new features to the platform, whilst continuously improving the UX of our current product. Your work will have a rapid, tangible impact on our customers’ productivity and our business success.

Reporting to our Head of Design, the role is full-time and based in our London office: a beautiful, secluded loft conversion in Shoreditch.

YOUR DESIGN APPROACH
— You’re as passionate about planning workflows and navigation as you are about building-in affordances and crafting icons.
— You have exceptional analytical skills, an ability to understand complex ideas and come up with creative solutions.
— You love the details: icons, interactions, typography. Every pixel is considered.
— You’re inspired by information design, data visualisation and design as ‘visual engineering’.
— You have effective strategies for prototyping and evaluation.

COLLABORATION
— You listen, gather requirements and thrive on constructive feedback, but also advocate for effective design solutions and champion the customer need.
— Amicable and approachable, you’ll fit right in with our close-knit team and our relaxed but focused working environment.
— With excellent written and verbal communication skills you’re able to articulate design solutions both within the team and to our clients.
— Working closely with our dev team you can precisely specify designs, then quality control front-end implementation.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
— Quantemplate is a web-based application, so a good understanding of how things are built in HTML/CSS and the capabilities and constraints is essential.
— Expert in industry-standard design tools – Sketch, Illustrator, Zeplin, plus your choice of prototyping and evaluation tools.

NICE-TO-HAVE
— Copywriting for interface design and a feel for the impact of language on UX.
— Experience in gathering metrics and setting KPIs for UX design.

YOUR EXPERIENCE
— Around 5 years UX/UI design experience, solving design problems in shipping products and building design processes.
— Degree-level qualification in Interaction / Graphic / UX Design, HCI, or a related discipline.

ABOUT US
— With clients in the UK, USA and Europe, our platform processes millions of data points daily.
— We’re a cross-functional team, currently around 25 people and set for growth.
— Based in Shoreditch, the creative heart of London.
— Backed by some of the leading InsurTech investors.

REMUNERATION
— Competitive salary and benefits, including pension plan, gym membership, Cycle to Work scheme, and medical cover.
