Design with purpose! COOK is looking for a crazily talented, mid-weight graphic designer to join our award-winning in-house creative team working across all areas of COOK's internal and external brand communications. You’ll have the ability and initiative to take control and lead on briefs and have a solid understanding of all aspects of the design process from concept through to artwork. Ideally, you’ll have some experience of, or passion for, packaging and label design, as this is an important aspect of the role. The perfect 2nd / 3rd design job (at least 2 years experience required).

Key Responsibilities:
• Mid-weight graphic designer to work across all areas of COOK's internal and external brand communications, providing graphic design and artwork for both print and in-store. (This includes, but isn’t limited to: packaging, labels, marketing campaigns, adverts, menus, in-store graphics and signage, flyers and internal culture documents).
• Ideas generation/ shaping creative campaigns where assigned to take the project lead
• Lead designer for packaging and labelling projects and artworking.

Key Attributes:
• 2+ years experience in graphic design / packaging design role
• Graphic design degree or equivalent
• Fully conversant in Adobe Creative Suite – particularly InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
• Evidence of design talent with excellent skills in typography, layout and idea generation
• Passion for illustration and hand-craft; it’s your second nature to play and experiment with pencils, paints, inks, crayons…
• Eagerness to learn and contribute in a collaborative team
• Ability to react quickly and efficiently to last minute briefs on tight deadlines and to juggle / manage a range of projects – and your own time – effectively
• Proactive, focused and ambitious
• Ability to work with our Brand Guidelines and help develop them where necessary
• Willingness to muck in and do mundane tasks with good spirit
• Strong attention to detail / caring – to ensure we deliver quality in everything we do
• Similar to a sponge in disposition; soaks up the external design world through books, blogs, magazines and more…
• A passion for food (and willingness to bake for the team!)
