About us:

Richard Chapman Studio is a nimble brand, print and web design studio based in a cosy space at the corner of Lots Road and King’s Road amid the interiors hub of Chelsea Design Quarter.

The studio is home to a small team of four, including our off-site web developer, that allows for a great deal of autonomy and creativity. It would be ideal for a designer who’s worked in a large studio as their second or third job, perhaps feels like a cog in a big machine and likes the idea of space and independence to pursue their creativity. Our house style is an elegant, modernist approach which always puts the end user first.

We consistently punch above our weight and our client base is a mix of well known names as well as mid-size corporates who give us a great deal of leeway to deliver creative, thorough work where our judgement and varied portfolio is invariably key to their hiring us.

Select clients include; Yamaha Music London, Bulgari Hotel London, Taylor & Hart diamond jewellery, The RSA as well as a raft of businesses in legal & finance, healthcare, charities and the arts who have been on our client roster for ten years or more.

We are looking for a talented all rounder. A Mid-Weight Designer with experience, perhaps over one or two previous employers, in branding, layout and the opportunity to grow your digital skills. You would join our team and fill a gap as a long-time employee moves on after several years.

Key to our work is an attention to detail and a consistency of brand and presentation. We also love working with designers who are inventive and know what’s going on – with a passion for creative research and a strong opinion. It’s a small studio so a relaxed, friendly personality is key with an enthusiasm for collaboration.

You will work directly with Richard, the founder and Creative Director on projects from start to finish, owning briefs and collaborating on outcomes.

About you:

You have a strong, inquisitive creative ability
Eager to learn, work hard and constantly develop your skills
Solid experience using Mac OS, the Adobe CC suite, particularly Illustrator and InDesign and willing to learn Sketch
A thorough attention to detail
A understanding of how to get under the skin of a brand and understand their clientele
Good time management and organisation skills
Happy to meet and collaborate with clients from time to time
Ability to work independently as well as in a team, with a friendly, kind approach

We offer a competitive package including workplace pension.
20 days holiday (plus Bank Holidays) are offered as standard per annum, as well as studio closure days over the December festive season.
