We are Swift Creatives, a Scandinavian design and product innovation team dedicated to creating and crafting brand led, humanistic experiences with purpose. With studios in Aarhus, Beijing and London, we think, shape and make products that move brands forward.

We are building our London studio from the ground up for an interconnected digital and physical world, and are on the lookout for a Visual/UI Designer to join us and help make our ideas reality. We work across websites and applications, both native and browser based, but also create user experiences for newer interconnected digital and physical spaces. For this reason we are looking for candidates who are able to think beyond screen based solutions to help create future facing interactions and interfaces.

We have a humorous, easy going and high performance culture. Please contribute, have fun and don’t be an asshole.

The Role

We want to make beautiful and engaging work, so we need people with a real affinity for the basics of good design (typography, iconography, layout, colour, etc.), as well as a precise eye for detail and the desire to create interesting and unique experiences for our clients.

Experience working within existing brand guidelines and design systems is undoubtedly important, but you’ll also need to be comfortable constructing new visual design languages from scratch, and not just relying on the flavour of the month. We’re not looking for Material Design clones.

You’ll be used to working in projects at all stages: participating in initial sketching brainstorms, workshops, meetings with clients, fleshing out creative concepts and really crafting the experience across multiple channels, devices and mediums.

Drawing ability, too, in one form or another is highly desirable. Whether it’s for storyboarding concepts, creating consistent sets of iconography to general character and illustration work.

We also need someone who can really bring their ideas to life. Beyond the usual rounds of demos and prototypes, we’re looking for somebody that can bring expressiveness to their work. Some of the projects we do go beyond standard interaction prototyping and into more character-based moments and motion graphics, so a good understanding of After Effects is key.

Above all, we want our work to be practical and usable too, so a good understanding of basic user experience principles is always going to be important.

Required skills:

Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects & Sketch (or equivalents).
Drawing (analog, digital or both)

Nice to haves:

Any 3D experience
Prototyping software
Any development skills (HTML, CSS)

From a day to day perspective, your role would largely involve:

• Collaborating in conceptual workshops and sprints

• Concepting and creating interfaces for websites, applications, touch-screen displays and real world interactive experiences, alongside other designers and developers.

• Producing interactive or animated prototypes to inspire client understanding and delight.

• Create animations and motion graphics for store displays and promotional purposes

• Drawing storyboards and producing general illustrative work.

• Meeting with and presenting to clients

• Helping estimate and pitch for new work

What you should be...

• A designer who sees big picture opportunities and delivers compelling creative execution.

• Someone with a ruthless eye for detail. We want people who really know how to craft and polish their work to the highest standard.

• Rooted in creating experiences that connect on a human and emotional level.

• Forged in the digital world but comfortable developing experiences that go beyond screens.

• Able to draw out potent, tangible insights from research combined with instinct to get to the best ideas fast.

• Experienced in projects that go to market with current digital platforms.

• Willing and able to adapt and learn quickly to deliver projects that define product experiences of the near future.

• Experienced at working with other designers and developers to ensure the vision can meet reality.

• English essential. Danish and/or Mandarin would be great but not essential.
