We need to take action. Over half of the world’s population is under 30 years of age and it is a generation which has inherited a number of global challenges – from climate change, to increasing inequality and intolerance. Yet too often young people’s voices go unheeded when the powers that be make decision that will affect the future of generations to come.

The New Now will bring together a core group of future focused leaders to support and inspire rising generations to shape a better world. People like Jaha Dukureh (anti-FGM activist), Taylor Wilson (nuclear physicist and science advocate), Alaa Murabit (medical doctor and peace and security expert), Jeremy Heimans (activist and movement builder), Uzo Iweala (writer and entrepreneur), Roya Mahboob (tech entrepreneur and education advocate) and Farwiza Farhan (environmental advocate).

The New Now is being incubated by Virgin Unite, the entrepreneurial foundation of the Virgin Group.

  • Support the organising of gatherings, events and meetings as required, including liaising with external contractors.
  • Be prepared to get stuck in and build an organisation from the ground-up, contributing where necessary to make the organisation a success.
