Nice and Serious is a creative agency based in London and New York. We believe good causes deserve to be given the best possible creative and we spend everyday doing just that. 


We’ve been through an evolution; from a straight-up production company, through creative studio, and now to an agency where we’re not only responsible for executing the end product, but also setting the agenda, developing the strategy, planning and delivering campaigns and offering brand consultancy.


Of course, we still like to make stuff; the craft and practical bits are still something that will always be important to us. But, to really make an impact, we need someone to understand what our clients want and, more importantly, need. You’ll then combine this understanding with what’s relevant out there, mixing this beautiful concoction into a delicious gateau for the creative team to slice up and feast on [Namely, a sweet creative brief]. As well as this, we need an entrepreneurial person who is able to increase our current depth of work, spotting areas for us to explore and produce even more interesting stuff with even more interesting clients.

Client work


  • You’ll be understanding audiences and researching what they want, where they live and what media they engage.
  • You'll be developing brand strategies, helping brand or rebrand clients and coming up with communication plans.
  • You’ll be working out when, how and where the audience is going to get our lovely creative execution.
  • You’ll provide the thinking and reasoning for the creative directions we take.
  • You’ll be making sure these creative directions are strategic.
  • You’ll attend client meetings and defend this reasoning.
  • You’ll attend client briefings, project meetings and debriefs and act as the strategic expert for Nice and Serious.
  • You’ll be mainly working across digital platforms.
  • You’ll be working across a range of projects, so you’ll need to be good at spinning plates.
  • You’ll be taking our executions and what media budget the client has [probably little] and coming up with a plan for how we can get as many people to engage with it as possible from the multitude of available channels - influencers/social / PR etc…
  • You’ll help facilitate workshops defining the audience, objectives and KPIs.
  • You’ll create audience segmentations, personas, and help clients select the right channels.
  • You’ll find insights for campaigns and brand strategy work and translate these to the team and sell in to the client.
  • On larger projects you’ll run the immersion stage including stakeholder workshops, surveys, focus groups and interviews.
  • You’ll plan across channels and identifying key messages for communication strategy work.

Proposals


  • You’ll be researching new opportunity to feed into the business strategy of Nice and Serious. 
  • You’ll be the one that’s going to question the brief and turn it into something that inspires our creatives. 
  • You’ll be writing up pitch decks along with the creative teams. 
  • You’ll be analysing new trends and figuring out ways brands and charities can connect with people.
