This is an instrumental role in defining, developing and maintaining the handwriting of the brand. Working with the vision for the brand, set by the Creative Brand Manager, you will work across all visual

elements (excluding product). You will assist in applying this brand vision and, in particular, how the brand is presented across all areas, this includes online, in-store POS, photographically (including art direction and shoot production) and within all printed collateral and in customer communications.

This is a broad role for a strong and versatile creative candidate that can inspire across multiple creative disciplines, someone who naturally remains calm under pressure and goes the extra mile to deliver
work of the highest possible standard.

Key responsibilities:

• Digital design of the web site, social media platforms, digital advertising, digital product imagery and blog and online content

• Assist the Creative Brand Design Manager in providing strategic thinking on the multichannel strategy for imagery and photography.

• Creative asset generation and curation to support across all platforms including photography, marketing collateral and printed materials

• Shoot creative planning/production and Art Direction on our seasonal shoots

• Manage the day-to-day workflow for all print and digital artwork and assist in the management and support of the creative team.


Work with the Creative Brand Manager to establish and maintain the brand creative handwriting across all touch points including the Habitat website, seasonal campaigns and assets, photography, direct
marketing, tactical campaigns and graphic collateral for external and internal use.


Implement and maintain robust processes and ways of working, overseeing the end to end delivery of all creative. Support the Creative Brand Designer manager in the day-to-day running and organistation
of the Creative team.

In order to fulfil business requirements you will also regularly communicate with interdependent teams such as marketing, buying, merchandising, finance, retail, digital and product design.


Support the digital designers in the artwork and execution of all assets. Champion a digital first approach to all creative work.


Work with the Creative Brand Design Manager to provide leadership on how to maximise the use and impact of imagery in a consistent way across all of our channels including ecomm, store PoS, PR and
marketing materials.


Be a source of inspiration by bringing new ideas and concepts to Habitat in line with our brand purpose and target client needs.

Experience and skills

• Minimum of 6-8 years experience working in a similar role client side for a retail/interiors brand or creative studio based role where you will have developed skills in the Adobe Creative Suite
(InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)

• Highly self-motivated; ability to take vision and product strategy from the Creative Brand Design Manager and translate into creative direction and plans.

• In-depth experience of shoot creative planning as well as a thorough knowledge of shoot production and at least 4 years experience of Art Direction.

• Ability to work within brand guidelines to ensure a brand is communicated in a consistent and recognisable way.

• The ability to articulate ideas and demonstrate a willingness to bring new ideas to the forefront frequently

• Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills with strong interest in working with people.

• Exhibit attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.

• Current with industry trends, emerging technologies and techniques.

• The ability to take creative concepts and produce final print & web ready artwork.

• Proven experience progressing design templates through the roll-out of multiple items and formats.

• A detail orientated, highly organized approach to projects.

• A proactive and can do attitude as well as a passion for working within the retail sector.

• Driven; able to work within a fast-paced environment and adaptable to change.

• Knowledge of Capture One and After Effects would be ideal.
