Proxy is looking for a sharp, enthusiastic Junior Designer to join our team.

— About us —
We’re a team of designers, strategists and researchers, with decades of experience working on branding and design for successful start-ups and global companies. We've been featured in Monocle, Creative Review, The Dieline, Brand New and other design blogs numerous times. We have an agile, positive studio culture, offering a calm and comfortable work environment in our Clerkenwell studio.

— About the role —
You have a design degree, some internships under your belt and perhaps up to 1 year of work experience. You should:
• be eager to learn about design processes and gain a deep understanding of branding
• display a keen interest in physical design — different printing techniques, paper stocks and packaging
• inspire the studio, live and breathe creativity, design and popular culture
• show an interest in new apps and tech
• have an easy going nature, good humour and be sociable
• feel comfortable and confident working in a small, agile work environment, where no-ego teamwork is essential
• be eager to become competent in a range of technical skills, such as creating PPT/Word templates, working with web page templates and creating email newsletter templates using basic HTML knowledge
• have good working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, with knowledge of Cinema 4D and After Effects being a bonus

You are dedicated to learn and support a team of experienced creatives in all aspects of the design process and studio management. You will:
• design and learn about creating brand guidelines
• implement artwork files and assets
• develop third party design assets directly with clients’ internal UI and web teams
• photograph and compile project case studies
• help prepare and participate in brand workshops
• actively manage social media output
• maintain and update our paper/colour swatch libraries, design magazine subscriptions and bookshelf
• work with the office manager to make sure studio supplies are kept up to date
• develop design routes and identity elements into final templates and printed materials
• be involved in the development of visual concepts and ideas based on creative strategy briefs

• Please send a PDF with CV and work examples to [email protected] no later than 30 April 2018
• We will only get back to suitable candidates
• Start date is as soon as possible
