One Third Stories is a high-growth start-up that inspires kids to love foreign languages. We do this by creating wonderful books that start in English and end in a different language, delivered each month as part of a subscription box. One Third Stories was started by two friends as a passion project a few years back. These days there are four of us full-time in the office (Alex, Jonny, Ollie & Ria) and we work with amazing illustrators, authors, translators, narrators and teachers to create good old-fashioned bedtime stories that give children access to the wonderful world of foreign languages.

We’re looking for an amazing Graphic Designer to join our Digital Marketing Team, take our visual assets to the next level and develop our brand image to inspire our audience. We’re ultimately looking for someone to take on a full-time role, but to start with we’re hiring on a project basis. We would love for you to come in to the office & work with us for 2 days a week, for a few weeks. Come and really get to know the team behind the children’s story books that are revolutionising language learning!

If you’re up for handling the design for a whole project from start to finish and you’re looking for an opportunity where you can really make an impact and have a huge amount of creative freedom, read on.

What you’ll be working on:

Providing beautifully-created visual assets with the marketing team for a variety of places, including social media, emails, website, and any other forms of media.
Working with our existing assets, both illustration and photography, to bring our products to life.
Creating content that makes our social media channels shine. This includes creative assets, making our activities look beautiful to supply to our burgeoning community and anything else that we need designing to add value to our audience.

This job will be for you if…
You are a self-starter that can pick up multiple projects at once, organise your own workflow and deliver beautifully crafted visuals to a tight deadline.
You have an inspiring can-do attitude and will turn your hand to anything that needs work
You have experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign or anything similar Small teams excite you and you’re super keen to get involved, see how everything works and learn on the fly.
You’re happy to help out wherever we need!
You’re excited about working with a young (and very yellow) brand and putting your own creative flair into it.

If you have this that would be great (but no worries if not)
An idea that you have turned from passion project into reality
A portfolio that showcases your ideas, work and adaptability
Copywriting skills and experience turning your voice into a brand voice

Please note we can’t accept applications without a cover letter.
