This is an exciting time to join Bloodwise as we look to develop our brand and visual identity. You will join as part of the brand and creative team, working in a small design team that will give you an opportunity to be fully involved in projects across the organisation and help contribute to the brand and visual identity.
You will report to the Design Manager and will work closely with our content team. As part of the wider Marketing division, together we will deliver creative solutions that are appropriate for our audiences and critical to our success. In an increasingly competitive market we need to ensure stand out and be meaningful and engaging to everyone we communicate with.


We need a talented and driven individual to help us deliver outstanding creative solutions for our internal clients and their audiences.

Our team offers design services to all teams within the organisation so you’ll need to be confident in delivering a diverse range of projects such as artworking a highly detailed patient information booklet, creating inspiring concepts for a new fundraising initiative, or fast turn-around of assets for digital channels. You’ll need good communication skills to liaise with staff at all levels, external partners and suppliers.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES


• Design and prepare of production marketing materials, publications and promotional items
• Design elements for digital platforms, such as banners, adverts and e-campaigns
• Account handle projects from scoping through to final sign off, working with colleagues to agree and set
appropriate schedules and budget.
• Liaise with printers and external suppliers.
• Help develop new concepts to raise brand awareness and support our fundraising objectives.
• Support the Design Manager on a wide range of projects.
• Share knowledge, specialist expertise and experience with the organisation.
• Contribute to the development of our brand identity.


THINGS WE ALL DO
• Attend and assist at Bloodwise events and activities as required (NB this involves evening and weekend
work)
• Be an effective ambassador for Bloodwise at any activity you attend
• Develop an in-depth understanding of our work
• Do any other reasonable things your manager needs you to do


PERSON SPECIFICATION


Skills knowledge and experience
Essential
Degree in design or equivalent qualification
Worked in a design role either client or agency side
A strong working knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat
Experience of producing comms materials across multiple platforms, including experience of digital
Excellent design skills with the ability to produce strong creative work
Knowledge of print and production processes
Ability to create, develop and present creative concepts
Builds and maintains good working relationships with colleagues
Good written and spoken English
A commitment to equal opportunities and diversity and the aims and values of Bloodwise
Desirable
Having previously been part of a wider team delivering integrated marketing communication campaigns
Experience liaising with a variety of suppliers
Understanding of marketing
Interest or experience in photography and video editing
