Junior Designer at Loaf


Looking for a lovely job? Well fancy that. We're looking for a brilliant junior designer to join our in-house creative team here at Loaf HQ.


Under the direction of our Head of Creative, the successful designer will be responsible for working on all sorts of creative briefs across print and web, combining both design and artwork disciplines to help create the magic that makes our brand special.


This is primarily a supportive role but once familiar with the brand there will be plenty of opportunity to show off your design and creative skills. You'll be obsessive about typography and ensure the brand magic touches every little thing that we do. Ideas, enthusiasm and a passion for all things design, balanced with a willingness to learn, happy to take direction and an understanding of the brand are essential.


If you are an extremely hardworking junior who is as happy working on web designs or brochure layouts as you are crafting something brilliant out of a piece of card then we’d love to hear from you. We're a quirky, one-of-a-kind brand growing at a rate of knots, based in lovely new offices in Ladbroke Grove.


Key responsibilities:
To support the creative team
Develop and create brilliant on brand design solutions
Generate ideas and create mood boards
Taking ownership of creative briefs and seeing projects through to completion
Willingness to learn and develop new skills
Work across a variety of creative briefs for both print and web


Requirements:
Degree in Graphic Design is a must
Illustrator, In-Design, Photoshop skills required; hand drawn illustration a nice bonus!
Excellent attention to detail
Loves a creative challenge and has a ‘can do’ attitude
Willingness to be a team player even on the smallest of tasks
Portfolio packed with strong conceptual ideas as well as fresh layout designs
Basic retouching skills (not essential but must be happy to learn)
An all round good egg with excellent communication skills and a natural ability to connect with people at all levels
Ego’s need not apply!


This is a permanent role but we are happy to hear from freelancers who are thinking of taking the plunge into a full-time position.
