MDM Props Limited is a model making and props company that has been trading for over twenty years. We work with artists, high end retail stores, theatrical and exhibition companies to name a few and occupy premises in Greenwich Peninsula near the O2.


This is a full time role for a self-starter who is happy to work with a fair degree of autonomy and who is confident in their knowledge of the industry. We are in the process of building and developing studios of various sizes. One has already been hired by theatrical companies for stage productions. We now want to develop the business, extending out to the advertising, photographic and various other industries and we need a full-time manager to take responsibility for the direction and growth of the business.


We are ideally looking for someone with people skills and a minimum two years of experience in a photographic studio but most importantly with telesales and face to face sales experience. Your over-arching objective will be to fill the studios and to create a buzz around the spaces.


A competitive salary plus commissions are available for the right candidate


Experience and characteristics we are looking for are :
• Prior experience in a front of house or Studio Management role
• Telesales and face to face sales experience
• Prior experience in the creation of content and the use of social media and marketing channels to drive the brand and engage potential clients
• Calm, friendly, flexible and hard working
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work on your own initiative to manage and drive a project
• The capacity to prioritise tasks and work under pressure
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail


You will be responsible for :
• Driving the sales to meet targets and creating a marketing strategy to support this
• Managing the day to day bookings
• The facilities, the smooth running and presentation and keeping the studio aesthetics slick at all times
• Organising client travel
• Keeping an eye on getting best value, responsibility for studio expenditure and delivery of expenses and booking reports
• Developing the terms and conditions, rate cards and extras and liaising with relevant suppliers about their services
• Meeting and greeting all visitors
• Manage, maintain and implement further studio development
• Ordering, unpacking and distributing stationery, food, sundries and lunches as and when required by clients and visitors
• Maintaining, reviewing and improving relationships with suppliers such as landlords, cleaners etc
• Day to day health and safety requirements
• Liaison with the Finance Manager on budgets, costs and invoicing.
• Monthly progress reports to Line Manager
