Description


We are looking for an ambitious graphic designer to join the Pulselive creative team and play a key role providing design services to one of our major clients based in Central London. As a Junior Designer you will have a hunger and desire to test yourself with one of the most supported and followed brands in world sport. Your work will be seen by millions of people, worldwide, on a daily basis and as a result you should thrive on the responsibility and satisfaction this brings.


You will have a keen eye for design and appreciate the fine details of typography, colour balance, and layout, always striving for pixel-perfect design. You will be able to demonstrate some experience in working within defined brand guidelines whilst showcasing a creative flair to push the boundaries of what is possible. Whilst your role will be predominantly focused on creating stunning graphics, you will also have a good understanding of digital design and will contribute to the overall progression of the digital properties Pulselive provide the client.


You will need to have a confident manner, be a strong communicator and have an open attitude to feedback and client requests. You will be interfacing directly with clients on a daily basis so should demonstrate a personable and professional manner. You will often have to manage heavy workloads for a number of teams (digital, editorial, social, corporate) so strong time management skills and a positive attitude will be essential.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES


Produce visual assets (infographics, promotions, adverts) for use within editorial content and via social media
Ideation and development of new graphics and concepts that appeal to football fans
Updating of various documents via InDesign
Developing new ideas and concepts for for social graphics
Develop strong working relationships with clients and colleagues through excellent time management, communication and a can-do attitude
Being the gatekeeper for all graphic assets produced, ensuring quality and consistency at all times
Keep up with latest design trends, ensuring your work stays fresh


Requirements


An interest in sport is a must, in particular Premier League football
An understanding of social media platforms and how to create visual content for them
A portfolio showcasing a creative flair and attention to detail
In depth knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, in particular Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
Experience in working directly with clients
Researching design that is relevant to sports teams and brands looking for trends and consistency
Working knowledge of other design tools such as Sketch and Invision
Self-motivated in a team based environment demonstrating initiative and enthusiasm
A can-do attitude is not desirable, it is a must
Confident and can clearly communicate thoughts when discussing designs to both colleagues and clients
Willingness to learn new techniques, skills and softwares
