Designwerk are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a background in major events project management to join our energetic, hardworking and welcoming team on an exciting sports event project.


Essential Skills:


• +4 years’ project management experience within branding and events
• Experience managing the changing requirements of a number of stakeholders and demonstrable client management skills
• A background in event project management: planning and delivery across multiple teams, stakeholders and suppliers
• An understanding of overlay and event layout planning (experience with architectural drawing control is a real bonus)
• Experience working with international clients and overseas
• Strong working knowledge of the creative process and managing design teams
• Excellent command of all Microsoft software, particularly Ms Excel,
• Highly competent at producing project plans, detailed budgets and managing resources (design output) across a multitude of touchpoints


Desirable Skills:


• French speaking
• An interest in sports
• Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign particular)


Through your work experience, you will have gained an in-depth understanding of the creative process, and the planning tools required to keep things on track - from project and client management to budgeting and resource requirements. Our ideal candidate is proactive, a great communicator and has the ability to manage others under pressure, and the confidence to steer the client to ensure all parties are happy!


Key tasks will include:


• Helping to define project scope, resource requirements and identifying any technical or third-party requirements.
• Managing changes to scope throughout the project
• Preparation and daily monitoring of schedules
• Briefing the design team on project deliverables and managing output
• Liaising with the client on deadlines and feedback
• Ensuring creative direction is implemented effectively and delivered in-line with the client's vision
• Maintaining a high level of efficiency and effectiveness so that projects are delivered on time and within budget
• Proactively suggesting new tools to increase effectiveness
• Understanding the requirements and needs of the client you are working with – their definitions and core characteristics.
