We are a hospitality group looking for an Interior Designer with exceptional CAD experience to lead redevelopment of some of our key venues. Our brands are heavily themed which ensures opportunity for unique and exciting projects.

Inception is a central London based hospitality group with a focus on experiences. The interior design of our venues is one of the main pillars of our brand. Often past projects have contained large numbers of historical objects and scavenged treasures. We have also embraced experimental features such as a 1940s train carriage and Victorian steam boat becoming popular spaces for private hire.

As the new In-house CAD Interior Designer you will begin by working on a number of venue refresh projects before developing to complete whole venue launches. You will work closely with external agencies, guiding project development and collaborating.

You will report to the Head of Design and Branding as well as presenting schemes to the Directors and Operations teams.

- Independently handle hospitality projects from design concept to site supervision during construction period
- Develop conceptual ideas for narrative & mood board
- Initiate design concept, layouts and material selection
- Handle presentation with concept diagrams, perspective drawings and other means to demonstrate the design
- Manage full sets of presentation and work with a member of the operations team to build tender documentations
- Coordinate with internal design support members, external agencies, professional consultants and project management teams
- Future prospects - build a new team to grow the ability of the department, supervise and coach junior staff members

- Degree / Diploma Holder in interior design, architecture or other related disciplines
- Able to handle full set design drawings and specifications
- Strong technical background and well experienced in generating / reviewing design and construction drawings / specifications / documentations / shop drawings
- Competent with AutoCAD (or DWG equivalent), Sketchup, Photoshop and common software, experience in operating in Mac platform preferable
- Ability to site visit, measure up and create floor plans from scratch for projects where base drawings are unavailable.
- Relevant experience in hospitality or restaurant design, preferable exposed to top-tier luxury or highly creative projects
- Solid experience in handling clients and projects from design stage to job completion
- Strong passion for design, creative, enthusiastic with strong sense for continuously improvement and exploring new ideas
- Excellent presentation with good communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to handle multi tasks under pressure and dynamic environment, ability to meet tight schedules with confidence and willing to work overtime when necessary
- Excellent file management, serialise architectural issues and disseminating
- Excellent command of spoken and written English

- A London-based little black book of builders, fitters and fabricators
- An interest in vintage design

You must also have indefinite right to live and work in the UK and be able to work onsite at our office in Victoria during our normal working hours of 9:00am-6:00pm Monday to Friday, with the ability to work late when needed.
