Headlines/Purpose:
The role of the Studio Manager sits at the centre of the wheel, running the studio, providing support to the whole team, protecting our business and ensuring our facilities are functioning at their best. In order to succeed in this role we feel the following characteristics would be valuable:

Domain:
The studios, our common spaces and infrastructure.


The nuts and bolts/Accountabilities:
• Ensuring the smooth running of our studios, making sure they are organised, well equipped and operationally efficient, including IT, telecoms, stationary and equipment.
• Acting as the central point of communication for the team, managing internal communications, the shared diary and organising team events/meetings.
• Managing Based Upon facilities, including insurance, security, cleaning.
• Promoting and leading the way in administrative processes and best practice.
• Managing the HR function of our business; including recruitment, internal policies & benefits, payroll and procedures.
• Record keeping, specifically HR and Health and Safety policies and procedures working with our partners to ensure compliance to legislation.
• Overseeing client hospitality ensuring that clients receive the full Based Upon experience.
• Bringing new insights to Based Upon, driving improvements within the role and its function.


Essential experience/skills:
• Strong organisational skills with an attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Excellent record keeping.
• 3 – 5 years’ experience in similar role.
• A good eye for art and design.
• An understanding of the balance between creativity and professionalism.


Desirable experience/skills:
• Financial Management using Sage accounting application.
• Ability to pick up software packages easily.
• Use of Salesforce.com or similar CRM packages.
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
