About the role:
We are looking for a talented dynamic senior designer with a passion for education to join our growing team. You will play a key role in major projects and act as a mentor to support junior members of the team. You will have a strategic understanding of project direction and bring enthusiasm to the design. You will be up to date with the latest design trends and innovations. You’ll work across projects ranging from teaching resources, research reports and pitch PowerPoints to email banners, websites, branding and experiential events, and will offer significant expertise in these areas.

What we are looking for in you:
Solid experience working for a small to medium size agency with expertise in brand engagement and communication design.
You are a stickler for detail with a drive to create work that exceeds expectations.
A strong interest in making a positive impact to our society with design.
Experience thinking strategically and generating conceptual ideas, selling them to colleagues and clients, working across departments on the creative sections of proposals/pitches.
Experience mentoring and developing the careers of junior team members.
Experience leading projects from start through to finish. Able to delegate tasks effectively and work with external suppliers and processes.
Excellent communication skills. Confidence and ease presenting creative ideas both internally and externally.
We love creativity, passion and drive, and we’d love to see you take the initiative to support and grow our business.

Person profile and skills:
Design related degree, minimum of 5 years commercial design experience
Great knowledge of Adobe CC: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator etc, and be comfortable designing in PowerPoint
Bags of creativity (crazy but grounded ideas are ideal)
A deep passion for design and a strong belief that design matters, a keen exhibition/design event goer
Highly organised with knowledge of the ins and outs of design processes
Obsessive attention to details, slightly nerdy passion for all things creative
Curiosity for the unknown and new technology
Good communication skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.

Company benefits include:
Great office environment – free breakfast, tea and coffee
22.5 days holiday a year and rising with service
Birthdays off and 3 extra days at Christmas!
Auto-enrolment pension following 3-month probation
Training sessions to develop your growth
Cycle to work scheme
Interest-free season ticket loan
Subsidised gym membership
Child care vouchers
Health insurance after one year and life insurance from day one
A sociable community – monthly Thirsty Thursdays; charity committee events (film nights, pub quizzes etc); a summer party as well as a Christmas party; team away days every year. We’re an agency that like to do brilliant work and have fun while we do it.
