About us...

The way we see it, we’re all about two things - seriously tasty, wholesome ingredients, and imagination. Why? Because together, they’ve helped us create over 1000 (and counting) ingenious snacks for hungry grazers across the UK and the US. We’re a nimble, tech-led multi-channel retailer on a mission to disrupt the healthy snacking market. We’re on a never-ending hunt for healthier, juicier, crunchier, tastier, fresher, bigger, better! Which basically means, as the one of the fastest growing companies in the UK, we’re always refreshing, rethinking and reinventing.

We’re a bunch of like-minded people but we’re not all the same. We have different experiences, backgrounds and ways of working but we combine well to make it come together.

The role, Mid-Weight Designer…

From packaging and POS, to inserts and emails, our small creative inhouse agency designs everything. Being part of our in house team will allow you the freedom to own, shape and really get under the skin of the graze brand, as well working in a fast paced, highly iterative and extremely collaborative environment. We’re our own client!

We are looking for a multidisciplinary designer with a wealth of FMCG knowledge to support our big plans for innovation, as well as the general creative needs of the wider business. Reporting into our Head of Creative, you’ll be leading the design on a variety of exciting projects, so a breadth of design knowledge is essential, but this role will see a big focus on packaging, so you need solid experience in creating incredibly beautiful and effective design solutions across a variety of formats and materials.

Ideally, you’ve been designing for FMCG, ideally for a food or drink brand, either in-house or agency side over the last 3 or 4 years, with a portfolio that demonstrates your outstanding skills and creativity.

What you’ll be responsible for…

Taking product propositions and developing them into creative packaging solutions
Collaborating with other teams across the business to develop early stage concepts and scamps that explore multiple creative routes
Developing final, print ready artwork across a variety of outputs, from digital to packaging
Supporting our online commercial teams by creating marketing collateral such as posters, press ads and trade flyers
Designing POS units and other merchandising materials
Working with our brand team to deliver creative solutions for above the line campaigns
What we are looking for in you…

You’ll be…

Highly proactive with the ability to initiate concepts and develop them through to completion
A real people person full of creative energy who enjoys collaborating with multiple teams
Able to bring your ideas to life both verbally and visually and comfortable presenting to key stakeholders
Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines whilst being highly adaptable
Solution-focused, proactive, resilient and able to use feedback as a tool to progress and improve.
Passionate about design and up to date with the latest trends, particularly within food and drink FMCG.
Able to work to brand guidelines and use them as a tool to develop creative ideas
Happy to chip in and help the team out with various design tasks and projects
Always looking to learn new skills!
You’ll have…

Experience in creating packaging, from first concepts through to approving on press
Serious skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
A solid knowledge of printing processes and how to set up print ready artwork
An understanding of how to create effective, cut through design for the retail environment
Impeccable layout skills.
An amazing eye for detail.
What’s in it for you?

graze has just turned 10 and is moving into new commercial areas including Retail, Online and new geographies, so you’ll be joining a progressive and expanding company which offers learning and opportunity for you to grow.
The opportunity to truly shape the brand’s future look & feel across all touchpoints and work cross-functionally to implement it
There’s some seriously smart, agile, informed, helpful, modest, funny and dedicated people in the business!
You’d be part of a culture that revolves around us doing a great job by being helpful, open, inclusive, pioneering, commercially aware, persistent and honest.
Please include a cover letter which tells us about your best piece of work and why it worked. Applications without portfolios will not be considered.
