The role of the PR Assistant is to support the PR Manager in delivering an exceptional level of service to Zetteler clients and ensure accurate systems within the PR department. This requires consistency in managing details across a range of systems and a proactive attitude towards progressing Zetteler’s campaigns, client base and professional relationships.

The PR Assistant supports the core mission of Zetteler, and the individual will be expected to perform in accordance with the stated goals of the company:

– To help designers and makers tell their stories.
– To challenge how things are done, ask questions and commit to creating new ideas, connections and strategies for everyone we work with.
– To never fall back on the formulaic approach, but to make it new, every time.


The day-to-day responsibilities of the PR Assistant include:

– Supporting and reporting to PR Managers handling a diverse portfolio client accounts to ensure strategy is implemented and delivered on time
– Account administration: monitoring press coverage, creating press cuttings, database maintenance and updates, preparing press materials and mail outs
– Research for Zetteler clients and projects
– Drafting and distributing press materials, coverage books and campaign reports
– Facilitating incoming media requests by phone and email
– Contributing to the organisation of client events.
– Uploading content to the Zetteler website
– Managing Zetteler's press assets library
– Assisting with client strategies and reports
– Supporting and representing Zetteler at meetings and industry events
– Providing day-to-day administrative and management support for the Zetteler office



– 1–2 years’ previous experience in an office environment or administrative role
– A genuine and demonstrable passion and knowledge of design, craft, art and sustainability
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
– Excellent telephone manner
– Impeccable spelling, grammar and attention to detail
– Buckets of self-motivation; a positive, can-do attitude; and the ability to think outside of the box
– Imaginative thinking and confident approach to sharing ideas with clients and colleagues
– An understanding of how brands differentiate themselves through tone of voice, brand associations and target audiences
– An understanding of data analysis, and how to turn statistical insights into actions
– Full IT literacy in macOS, Microsoft Office and G Suite


– Educated to degree level
– Previous experience working in a PR agency, press office or fast-paced media environment
– Knowledge of database systems, Photoshop and InDesign
– Strong grasp of social media and an instinct for effective engagement
