Chapel is looking for an Art Director to join its content team. This is a rare and unique opportunity to help develop, shape and curate the visual output of Chapel activities for a variety of clients. The role will be the driving force behind our visual output and requires a talented hands-on creative with strong design, art direction skills and an ability to inspire a small creative team and freelance design resource. You will be working across a variety of mediums including print publications, website builds, branding, social media, motion graphics and the odd film project.

Who You Are

You will need to be organised, positive, energetic and curious, with a “can do” attitude. As a seasoned Art Director you will already have proven experience with a notable agency, additionally you will have had first-hand experience working on multi-faceted deliveries for global brands and institutions.

You will be conscientious with a natural initiative towards productivity and support of your wider team. As an ambassador of the agency, you will also demonstrate sensitivity towards client engagement and It goes without saying that you will be a well-presented and confident individual that is truly passionate about their work and growing with an inspiring team. You will have a minimum of 7 years’ experience within a design agency / are department environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Chapel Art director you will be overseeing the delivery of a range of projects - but the emphasis will be on quarterly print publications, website builds, branding, social content and motion graphics. You must be able to conceive and deliver original and inspiring design at all levels, creating compelling visuals to communicate different brand messages in imaginative ways whilst ensuring the aesthetics are always inline with Chapel standards. You will be required to Input on projects requiring an artistic treatment or stimulus and develop a network of innovative collaborators.

Essential Experience.

Art/Design based degree Qualification.
At least 7 years in a commercial role in an agency environment / Art department.
Exceptional Art Direction Skills.
Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Indesign & Illustrator), Google Docs, Quip and Microsoft Office.
Exemplary communication skills, capable of presenting ideas clearly both Internally and Externally.
Good understanding of contemporary culture with an interest in the Business world a bonus.
You will display a passion for design outside of your professional experience.
Able to adapt and respond positively when faced with complex and challenging situations
It goes without saying you will have an established network of contemporary creative collaborators.


Evolve Chapel’s client-facing work both online and in print.
Work within budgeted scope, time and production costs
Remain on top of project requirements, timelines and creative team resource.
Able to get the best out of people; You will be inspiring, ambitious and future focused.
Support and contribute to pitch documents, as and when required.
Keep abreast with and ensure the studio is informed of any relevant creative developments within the art, design and experiential world.
Work with the Directors to ensure all design is on brand and communicates the company values.
To be able to speak knowledgeablyabout all aspects of Chapel and to support the organisations principal aims & objectives.
