Weber Shandwick's Manchester office is looking for an enthusiastic and creative Social Media Designer. You will join a high-performing Digital team, currently dominating the North-West social media market. Your skills will include graphic design, copywriting and social media, with the objective to produce high-impact, multi-channel content on behalf of our clients and to support the wider agency.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Developing various creative concepts and designs for social content, signage, storyboards, videos, infographics and new business presentation concepts


- Reviewing all social media-specific concepts, for various execution formats and incorporate creative/design/layout standard methodologies


- Working closely with multiple social media networks including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, LinkedIn and YouTube, ensuring efficiency and quality-controlled work


- Creating animations that can be exported as looping GIFs and cinema-graphs


- Developing and designing mobile, desktop & tablet creative mock-ups and concepts


- Designing Keynote & Powerpoint presentations


- Editing long form videos into short-form videos that are suitable for social media


- Reviewing all visual design to adhere to existing brand guidelines and channel specifications


- Translating creative direction from others into executed designs


- Assisting multiple projects across the agency by drafting and presenting concepts, as well as supporting the Digital Team and wider agency to drive digital growth


- Support day-to-day operations of the Digital Team


- Building and maintaining rapport with Digital team and across the agency

SKILLS:
- Visual design across multi-channel platforms


- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.), PowerPoint and iMovie


- Strong verbal/written communications skills


- Strong copywriting abilities, especially in digital content


- Creative and innovative thinking


- Organised and able to prioritise work to meet deadlines


- Patience, flexibility and agility (as we work in a dynamic environment)


NICE TO HAVES:
- Understanding of HTML/CSS, UX, animation, motion, photography, typography and film/video principle


- Strong video editing skills are favourable, but not essential


- Use and understanding of After Effects


- An understanding of content management systems such as WordPress


- Knowledge of the influencer marketing space


- Willingness to support the Digital Team with influencer research and engagement


- Some experience of owned, earned and paid online media


- Knowledge of digital research, analysis and measurement techniques


- A sound understanding of various web technologies to support online campaign execution and digital content creation.
