Further East is one of Beyond Luxury Media’s latest creations, it is Asia’s future facing, inbound only b2b event. Further East is a disarmingly different marketplace and inspiring thought-leadership platform fostering a community of engaged hospitality professionals, regional specialist buyers and influential media who are passionate about bringing high-value, low-impact tourism to Asia.


We are now looking for an ambitious, enthusiastic and commercially astute Marketing Manager to grow quickly, professionally and to become a key and recognizable face of the company within the industry. The Marketing Manager will gather client insights from relationship managers and combining this with industry insight, will develop, plan and lead the implementation of the annual marketing plan, developing both the brand and global reach of Further East.


A Day In The Life;
• Produce an annual marketing plan including the design of various campaigns (both brand and sales) that meet the show’s long-term objectives as set by the Head of Further East.
• Oversee annual show calendar to ensure all projects are planned & executed to appropriate deadline.
• Work closely with the Public Relations Manager to develop media strategy for each campaign, ad-hoc events, thought leadership paper as well as show coverage.
• Research and action initiatives to gain more market share and client acquisition within the travel industry, and grow awareness in fringe industries and consumers.
• Coordinate the content gathering and production of all collateral required for all key milestones such as; booking forms, show surveys, show guides, sponsorship documents, rate cards etc.
• Ensure well prepared briefs are written for campaigns and other projects for effective briefing of the creative team.
• Coordination of all show collateral (Bags, pens etc.) to ensure that the right amounts are ordered – for the show and throughout the year, that sponsor artwork and deliverables are managed and that operations team delivery dates are adhered to.
• Proof all web updates and ensue the website is up-to-date at all stages of the event and campaign cycles, liaising with digital team, and creative team when appropriate.
• Oversee the Social Media pages and reporting of analytics (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Vimeo, G+)
• Managing Further East Facebook page, including content updates, creating Facebook albums (with album titles and supporting copy) and the reporting of analytics.
• Testing and editing show App, liaising with digital team, and creative team when appropriate.
• Seek appropriate brands to develop brand partnerships and/or sponsorship opportunities with.

Your Skills & Experience;
• 6-8 years experience working within a fast-paced environment
• A relevant marketing qualification is desirable
• Strategic thinking around public relations and brand management in the media
• Able to demonstrate a solid understanding of our brand
• Breadth of thinking across multiple channels
• Good understanding of marketing in the travel sector with particular insights in Asia
• Must be able to thrive under pressure and to relish the challenge of achieving new goals
• Must be driven by personally achieving targets
• Experience across all channels of the marketing mix
• Good computer literacy, particularly with Word, Power point, Excel, Gmail and Database management systems
