Zendesk is hiring a Senior Brand (Experience) Designer to join our in-house Creative department in London.

You: Ehrm, what does that entail?

As a member of the Brand Experience team, you will take on a key role in shaping the way Zendesk interacts with our customers face to face, from our ever growing line-up of events to tradeshows and beyond. Firmly rooted in graphic design, the job offers the unique opportunity to shape beautiful and immersive narratives across a wide range of touchpoints, from digital invites to physical installations.

This is a global role with a wide range of assignments and stakeholders. You will be part of our agile London team, working in close collaboration with colleagues in San Francisco and partners from around the world.

You: And what do you expect from me?

You are a seasoned graphic designer with an impressive set of design skills across different media, including print and digital. You have a passion for solving problems with thoughtful design. You’re a conceptual thinker who can own projects from a striking idea all the way to sending artworked materials off to production. You push for the best quality and grand ideas while also having a knack for finding solutions that fit within any budget. You’re always looking out to find ways to improve what we do and how we do it. And you’re well versed mentor and diplomat, expertly steering a project and your team to achieve the best result possible.

You: Ok. Could you be a bit more specific?

Craft meticulous design solutions across a wide range of projects and brand touchpoints
Art direct both physical and digital assets for Zendesk events around the world. This includes our annual global user conference
Support the wider brand team on other brand initiatives, from campaigns to content marketing
Lead and inspire team members, stakeholders within the organisation and external suppliers
Enable the growth of the Zendesk brand as we scale our offering, markets and teams

6+ years experience in graphic design across both print and digital
Ideally worked in the tech sector and/or on experiental design projects
A deep understanding of physical production techniques
An outstanding sensibility for systems, grids and typography
Up-to-date with current design and technology trends
Knowledge of HTML/CSS/Javascript a plus but not required
Experience running own design projects on the side is appreciated and respected

A sense for simple, charming and engaging design
A fast thinker and hands-on problem solver
A highly organised and detail-oriented self starter
Comfortable working in a collaborative and informal environment
Comfortable working across divisions and with diverse teams
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated with a glass half-full attitude and high EQ
A coach and a mentor for other team members
An amazing eye and incredible taste.

The Zendesk Creative brand team is set up as an in-house creative agency. We’re a vibrant group of around 40 staff designers, filmmakers, animators, writers and project managers. We steer a brand with a lot of personality. And it receives a lot of love from within our company and the wider industry.

We strive to create simple, functional designs. Our aesthetic is polished but also aims to be charming, honest and humorous. It’s a reflection of our products that help navigate the complexity of human interactions.
