About us:

Waste is an independent digital creative agency founded in 2006 on the principle of cutting out unnecessary agency fluff in favour of urgency, expertise and a no-fuss attitude. We call this approach Maximum Digital. Minimum Nonsense.

With offices in London and Los Angeles, we employ 60 specialists covering strategy, creative, social & web content, advertising, digital experiential, DOOH, UX and SEO.

Our client list includes Supercell, the mobile gaming giant, for whom we deliver player acquisition and retention built around community listening and high-speed, high-quality content creation. Other entertainment clients are Nintendo, Sega, Warner Brothers, Turner and Ubisoft.

Waste also provide digital leadership for energy giant Centrica, covering British Gas, Hive, Dyno and Direct Energy. Other clients include, Intu, Grosvenor Casinos, dating app Badoo, lottery giant Camelot and media brand family Oath.

The Maximum Digital, Minimum Nonsense approach has seen us win more than 50 awards, including: Awwwards, BIMAs, FWA, CIM, Pixels, Lovies, W3 and Webbys.

Waste are renowned for brewing our own craft beer, the Waste Pale Ale (WPA), a firm favourite with clients and partners. We also support the UK based gaming charity, SpecialEffect.

What we’re looking for:

Are you a highly organised, likeable, pro-active and passionate, Social Account Manager?

The successful applicant will have:

- A minimum 3 years’ experience with account management and social media management for brands
- Track record of forging strong client relationships
- A persuasive and confident approach to creative projects
- Full awareness of creative processes and techniques – including digital platforms
- Previous experience as an Account Manager/Community Manager
- Ideally a creative agency background
- Experienced and knowledgeable about all the key social media platforms
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Excellent writing skills
- Direct experience in working in the B2C market
- Solid knowledge of paid social media activities and experience managing paid campaigns
- Commercial experience with major social channels (Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Instagram etc.)
- An ability to manage stakeholders including clients, internal teams and third parties
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to pick things up at lightning speed
- Be an instantly likeable, approachable and friendly person, keen to collaborate, share knowledge and help others within the team
- Think creatively and add your own flair to each project

Your duties will be:

- You will be owning the day to day client relationship
- Attend project/client briefings alongside other members of the team
- Work very closely with AD/BD to ensure all the work we deliver is of the highest quality and on time/to budget, with oversight - over the production process
- Understand client’s challenges and opportunities
- Follow client’s main competitors digital marketing activity
- Manage relationships with partner agencies
- Owning the brand content calendar development and implementation across key social channels
- Responding to comments and customer queries in a timely manner
- Monitoring campaign results and analysing key metrics to generate growth, brand preference and loyalty
- Identifying and tracking relevant community metrics
- Interpreting online customer engagement metrics
- Feeding insights from social listening to the creative team
- Monitoring and reporting on feedback and online reviews
- Generating weekly client reports on community management and campaign results
- Exploring new and emerging social media platforms and opportunities as well as advertising tools and products
- Staying up-to-date with digital and technology trends
