We are looking for an experienced and creative Videographer to join the Pearson College London External Relations (ER) team.

You will work alongside the wider ER team and other internal stakeholders across the College, producing a wide range of video content pieces. Content pieces include webinars and tutorial edits, short-form video for internal and external events, showreels and conference filming. The Video content is shared across multiple online channels and social media.
The role demands flexibility. At times you'll be responsible for delivering design projects from start to finish, while at other times you’ll be jumping in to finish an edit, or will be repurposing existing content for use on social media channels.
You should have a comprehensive understanding and appreciation of the role of video within the context of platform, marketing, advertising, and social channels and a willingness to take initiative and to drive innovation.

About the team
This role sits within the External Relations Department. Behind the scenes of the College, the Marketing, Recruitment and Communications Teams work hard to build our brand and engage with customers and stakeholders. Key responsibilities
This position requires the ability to collaborate with the video producers and autonomously work on video content, so that it is delivered in a timely manner. You’d also be responsible for:
Managing video projects and all deliverables, from pre-production to post-production (including video editing / assisting / prepping)
Maintaining a steady flow of high-quality content for web and social media channels
Updating the College’s YouTube channels, and other content platforms
Brainstorming and developing new and innovative ideas with the team
Produce and deliver video in multiple formats
Help develop production schedules and plan video shoots
Work closely with the senior video producer to deliver engaging, relevant and accurate video content to brief
Actively seeking new ways to approach the conventional forms of short-form storytelling
You’ll be a regular user of social media and understand how to publish on platforms, in particular Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter
You’ll have excellent organisational skills and able to work to post-production schedules, managing multiple projects
You’ll have an understanding of colour grading and sound design, to enhance your edits

Essential skills

Significant experience in digital video editing and production for multiple platforms
A proven track record of delivering video projects from start to finish
Practical experience in lighting, cinematography and sound recording
Strong editorial skills in Premiere Pro, strong proficiency in other digital media software tools including but not limited to; After Effects, Audition, Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, Da Vinci Resolve
Ability to problem solve, troubleshoot, and stay calm under pressure
Deep and demonstrated knowledge of current social media technologies and platforms
Independent, detail-oriented, with a creative approach to video editing
A team player with the ability to work independently and multi-task under tight schedules
Effective communicator and team player who will collaborate with producers, stakeholders and team members, to create compelling work

Desirable skills

Motion Graphics experience in either After Effects and/or Cinema 4D
A passion for all things creative, from seeking out new ways of telling stories to new and different means of telling them
An awareness of the content that competitors are producing
