We have an exciting opportunity to join the Lipsy creative team as Interim Integrated Design Manager for a period of 12 months to manage the integrated design team and deliver high standard digital and print design assets smoothly and efficiently on behalf of the business. Key Accountabilities:


Service Delivery:


• Manage, schedule and deliver creative assets across the business efficiently, to the highest standard, ensuring that these fall in line with the department’s critical path.
• Takes ownership of the briefing process, ensuring key stake holders hand over all assets before delegation and management across the design team.
• Design spanning across the Next website, Lipsy social channels, PR assets and Digital Marketing. You will also be required to support Retail, the People Team and in some cases B2B presentations.
• Manage internal efforts such as company branding, website, marketing collateral, both online and offline and any ad hoc requests to ensure consistency of any creative output.
• Design and develop content using industry standard tools such as Adobe Creative Suite & Sketch. Utilise web development technologies such as HTML & CSS.
• Champions design innovation within all digital communication ensuring Lipsy are at the forefront of Ecommerce Fashion Retail.
• Partner with the Digital Marketing, PR & Social teams to ensure all assets meet the required deadlines and are in keeping within the brand guidelines.


Commercial:


• Manage design asset performance and monitor their effectiveness in order to grow the Lipsy brand and its commercial success.
• Responsible for content design that best supports profit driving brand and product launches.
• Create successful and innovative email campaigns to increase brand engagement and profitability.
• Lipsy is an agile business by nature therefore you will operate with utter agility to support the needs of the brand.
• Aware of emerging industry trends and techniques, you actively share your knowledge with your team to encourage the use of new technologies and ways of working.
• Planning seasonal campaigns, promotional activity and the critical paths for supporting assets.
• Problem solving is essential within this role, you will use your initiative to overcome obstacles and unforeseen circumstances experienced within an ever evolving retail environment.


People:


• Manage the design team to ensure they are given clear briefs and are confident in their work load.
• Able to motivate and inspire as well as manage department workflows and prioritise resource.
• Lead the team through the behaviours of the Lipsy values.
• Developing and maintaining relationships internally including liaising with different departments and teams.
• Coaches and develops their team to ensure they maximise performance levels. This will include regular performance appraisals to set and review objectives along with an assessment of individual performance levels and development needs against the competencies.
• Ensures the team have up to date job descriptions and development plans. Nurtures talent and has solid succession plans.


Skills and Experience:


• Educated to degree level in Graphic Design, PR or Marketing -related qualification or equivalent.
• At least 3 years’ experience within a managerial role.
• Demonstrable experience managing a team of creatives. We are passionate about our people at Lipsy and require the successful
applicant to draw from previous experience to lead and develop a growing team.
• Advanced technical experience across Adobe Creative Suite and Sketch. Working knowledge of web development technologies such as HTML and CSS, exposure to Content Management Systems would be beneficial.
• Extensive industry understanding of campaign development and execution across multi-channel business.
• Comprehensive understanding of social media and content creation skills and technologies.
• Developed experience in strategy planning and measuring campaign success.
• A true team player, you are motivated, pro-active and collaborative, a solutions driven individual with the ability to use your own initiative.

Hours: Monday – Thursday, 09.00-17.30, Friday, 09.00 – 16.30.
