We are looking for a talented new Digital Designer to join our amazing team of international producers, artists and developers.


This role is focused on creating beautiful, user-friendly designs and bringing them to life as interactive web experiences. Our ideal candidate is someone who enjoys a challenge and is comfortable working with video artists and web developers to create exceptional results.


**The role is a full-time position based in our London studio. Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.**

We are an award-winning digital creative studio with studios in London and Los Angeles. We have a team of over 30 people working across both offices. Our team works across 3 areas:


1. Our Showtimes Platform powers most of the major movie websites across the world and boasts
all the major movie studios as clients.


2. Our Creative Builds range from projects making AR effects and interactive music videos, to projecting tweets on the houses of parliament.


3. Our Custom Builds (Powster Labs) include a variety of innovative movie-discovery and cutting-edge entertainment marketing tools.

We have a diverse and talented team working across an exciting roster of technical and interactive builds, as well as large-scale creative productions.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON:


You will be part of our creative team of visual designers, video editors and UX/UI designers under the guidance of our creative director. You will work closely with our lead designer, with a focus on designing visually stunning, functional and intuitive websites and other digital products.


Projects will include refining and evolving new iterations of the existing Powster movie platform and products, as well as development of new and innovative entertainment marketing tools. You’ll be producing work for a wide range of world-class entertainment clients, including all the major movie studios.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:


As a digital designer at Powster you will be designing sites and tools from concepting and wireframing through to launch, as well as evolving existing products, incorporating your own flair into something that will be truly unique and create an exceptional user experience while keeping to strict deadlines. You should be obsessive about design, in particular UX/UI, have great attention to detail and a love for making things pixel-perfect.


This is a role for people who love what they do and will never be satisfied with second best. We value someone with the ability to be absolutely focused on whatever task they’re working on, down to the last detail, who takes pride in producing exceptional final results.


ESSENTIAL SKILLS:


Strong visual communicator & problem-solver with a passion for all things digital
High proficiency with contemporary design tools i.e Sketch, Adobe CC suite
An understanding of designing for the web, best practices and the technology behind it
Can confidently visualise concepts to varying levels of fidelity
Able to balance high-end visuals with considered user experiences
Have the drive and discipline to see your ideas through until they are pixel perfect
Never settle. Hungry to raise the bar every time
Strong self-motivation and initiative
Enthusiastic team player.


NICE TO HAVE:


Experience in prototyping and motion tools.
Knowledge of chatbots and augmented reality.
Some basic knowledge of coding (html, css, javascript) to help you collaborate with our developers.
Strong interest in the entertainment industry and creative marketing.


EXPERIENCE:


2+ years relevant experience.
