3rd Rail is a multifaceted screen printing studio providing a wide variety of services including garment printing, fine art editioning, experiential live print and an open-access facility. We’re currently focused on growing our exciting new startup venture Print Social, an online garment pre-sale platform designed to empower creators by offering a sustainable method of selling T-shirts through campaigns with zero upfront costs.


This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to fill a role that has great scope for career progression with a view to taking the lead in growing the venture and building a team underneath them. It will require an ability and willingness to multitask over a range of responsibilities including business development, sales, marketing and account and personnel management. The successful candidate will thrive in a varied role, be self-motivated and able to use their initiative to develop our existing sales and user acquisition strategy.


We are looking for a highly organised individual with a drive for entrepreneurial thinking and excellent customer service skills to join our team and take the lead in driving the Print Social brand forward. Our aim is to grow quickly, so it’s important that the candidate can employ a creative approach to user acquisition through direct sales outreach, marketing and occasional event programming. Print Social embraces those who want to use their social communities to monetise their creative work, so applicants with an existing network of potential users and an understanding of social media will be at a huge advantage.

Key Responsibilities
- Taking the lead on the development and implementation of a creative sales and growth strategy to drive profit.
- Managing the complete campaign process from lead generation through timely order processing to customer aftercare.
- Achieving monthly sales objectives through successful lead generation and production of campaigns.
- Researching potential clients and finding individuals and companies to contact.
- Responding to and managing customer service enquiries in a professional and friendly manner.
- Providing general support to the 3rd Rail team including responding to customer enquiries, answering the phone, ad hoc admin assistance and covering holidays.


Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have the following skills:


- Some demonstrable experience and success in sales, user acquisition or lead generation.
- Excellent communication and negotiating skills including a good command of both written and spoken English.
- Working knowledge of Google Docs and Sheets, the Adobe suite as well as Mac computers.
- A good grasp of key social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook and Twitter and the ability to deliver new marketing strategies
- Be an entrepreneurial self-starter with a proactive and motivated approach to achieve sales targets.
- Ability to use own initiative, to multitask effectively and efficiently.
- Good track record of working to tight deadlines and responding well under pressure.
- An understanding of printing processes and printed merchandise is preferred but not necessary.
- An interest in the arts and creative industries, as well as broader cultural interests.
