As creative technology engineers working with light, we design and deliver outstanding and meaningful experiences across media, events, shows and installations. Our established studio is widely regarded as a pioneer in the field of shared immersive experiences. We are now looking for a Technology Consultant and mapping expert to fit into our creative and production workflow and take on the biggest projection mapping and technical production shows in the world.

About the role:
• Working as the link between our production team and creative studio to think through and solve complex mapping and workflow challenges.
• Working with a variety of media servers and software to spec the right tool for the job.
• Setting up 3D scenes and UV textures for specific workflows including disguise, notch, unity and custom systems.
• System architecture for interactive applications and triggers.
• Experience working with Unity and realtime engines.
• Media server programming.
• Creating communication pathways and triggers between different systems, media servers and controllers.
• Working with real-time systems and renderers.
• Building breath-taking shows integrating the control of all aspects of technology.
• Show control programming.
• Design of interactive systems.
• Proficiency in C# and Python prefereable.

• A technically focussed problem solver.
• Keen to work as key element in a workflow respecting other people’s timings and budgetary commitments.
• Methodical worker with meticulous attention to detail.
• Someone who won’t let a show go out without knowing that every last detail is thought through.
Key Skills:
• Intimate knowledge of video, animation, codecs, NDI.
• Intimate knowledge of video signal distribution requirements and limits including 4K workflow.
• Strong knowledge of digital communication protocols, DMX, ArtNet, OSC, Midi, timecode.
• Creation of 3D models, textures and UV maps for use in 3D workflow.
• Intimate knowledge of principles of projection and projection mapping.
• Knowledge of diverse video display technologies, LED, OLED.
• Knowledge of lighting and sound systems for live events and/or installations.
• Show building and compositing in media server.
• Excellent knowledge of networks.
Preferred Software/Hardware Knowledge:
• Disguise, Notch, Watchout 6, Resolume Arena, MadMapper, Touchdesigner.
• Video hardware: Matrices, Medialon, pixelator.
• AE, Photoshop, Maya, Blender, C4D.
• Coding C#, Python.
Key Experience and Training:
• 6 years’ experience working in live events or AV installations industry.
• Advanced disguise training.
