Working within the Visual Merchandising department, the Retail Graphic Design Manager is responsible for the design and development of all Retail graphics, ensuring the timely delivery of all POS whilst remaining within budget. The Retail Graphic Design Manager understands the requirements of our stores and customers to develop POS and marketing that supports product presentations, seasonal storytelling and promotional material. This role is responsible for cross
working with other peer designers to ensure the brand expression is consistent across all channels.

Summary of the Role’s Main Purpose

Create innovative, commercial solutions to the presentation of all customer facing signage
across The White Company.
Liaising with the Visual Managers and Brand teams delivering consistent and cohesive messages,
which aids and inspires the customer shopping experience.
Constantly review the current POS suite - developing/sourcing new material to support the
growing product ranges.
 Brief Creative to develop a consistent seasonally and brand appropriate POS pack, presenting
concepts to key stakeholders.
 Manage the overall POS budget, ensuring spend is relevant and measurable.
 Supporting the Retail Graphic Design Co-ordinator in designing the look and feel of creative to
support store events.
 Working with the Head of Visual Merchandising to oversee the POS presentation of each Model
Store and New Store, to deliver a completed store presentation to the highest standards.
 Oversee the Retail Graphic Design Co-ordinator in the production of clear POS guidelines each
season or as required to ensure implementation at store level is delivered to highest standards.
 Oversee the management of the Critical path to ensure seasonal POS meets key deadlines –
including internal sign off, Model Store implementation and all stores roll out.
 Oversee the management of suppliers to ensure print, pack, dispatch and support to stores is
delivered in a consistent and timely manner.
 Manage and support the Retail Graphic Design Co-ordinator in their personal development.
 Undertake seasonal store visits, monitor competitor activity and report back in team and
departmental meetings.

Core Areas of Knowledge, Skills & Experience

 A minimum of 3 years’ experience delivering multi-element POS campaigns, in a retail Head
Office Role for both In-store and windows.
 Hardworking, flexible attitude and good sense of humour, is resourceful and determined.
 Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and drive them for continuous improvement.
 Thorough knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and video editing.
 Excellent typography skills with experience in seeing concepts through to final artwork stage.
 Ability to work well independently, under pressure and to tight deadlines. Can respond positively
to changing priorities.
 Must be highly organised, with strong written and verbal skills and take responsibility for own
