The Company

Stephenson has been providing innovative solutions for the cosmetics industry for over 150 years- and we're still at it today. We're leaders in our field - focusing wholly on the cosmetics and personal care industry. Our customers include household names, and our ingredients feature in some of the best known personal care brands in the world.

The Position

Working alongside the Marketing Manager and Digital Marketing Executive, you will be helping to lead the creative outputs across a wide range of projects - from initial planning through to final delivery and across a huge range of mediums: including print, digital and video. A great understanding of typography, print processes and the Adobe Creative suite is essential in this role. You will be working on multiple projects at once, so excellent time management is required.

Day to day, you’ll be designing innovative and imaginative applications for brochure campaigns, video and social content, photography, branding, presentation and exhibition design. Your responsibility will be to create high quality visuals in all formats to represent the brand and the product consistently. You'll pick up projects and run with them - from initial ideas through to polished, print-ready artwork.

You'll come up with concepts, suggestions and marketing ideas, which will be pitched to the board and more senior members of the business. There'll also be an opportunity to travel - to exhibitions throughout Europe and occasionally further afield! This position is an amazing opportunity to make a real impact on a small business, as autonomy and being proactive is always encouraged.

What We’re Looking For

As well as a passion for graphic design - we're looking for someone who's commercially aware and who understands how the marketing mix comes together. We need someone who's full of ideas and who can just as easily lend their creative eye to photography and/or video as they can to print or digital design. You need to be abreast of design trends and be a champion for good design throughout the business, protecting our new brand and teaching others how to use it.

This is a varied role - you need to be able to adapt well and take on projects that might be outside your comfort zone.

The perks

Although we're a manufacturer, you'll find that we have many of the perks of a creative company. Get your blood pumping with our Monday exercise classes, socialise with your colleagues at regular work socials (this year we were dressed up for the races!), and take advantage of our workplace perks memberships. We also want our staff to grow within the business, so participating in training is often part of our internal development programmes.

How to Apply

If this sounds like the perfect job for you, please send your CV, portfolio and a covering letter to [email protected] with the subject line 'Marketing Designer Position'. Closing date for applications is Friday 19th April. First stage interviews will be w/c 22nd April.
