Position summary
The Motion Graphics Designer works as part of a creative team and is assigned to support one or more divisions. In close collaboration with creative colleagues, you will produce animated sequences and film edits – using both supplied and self-generated assets – to create high-quality outputs across multiple channels whilst working to agreed schedules


Key responsibilities
• Create high-quality motion graphics output for use across multiple channels, including, but not limited to: exhibition stand attracts, UI animations, short films, data visualisations, presentations, email, websites and apps
• Actively participate in the briefing process, work with both internal/external stakeholders and scientific/editorial/creative colleagues to confirm the right creative approach
• Produce storyboards from supplied briefs to help translate complex ideas into a clear audio/visual narrative. Help map project timings and transitions, and identify required assets
• Create design assets for use in motion graphics projects using either illustration, typographical, video/motion capture, or photographic techniques
• Source creative and content-based footage, music, and sound effects
• Edit footage/animation to ensure projects convey the narrative concisely but without comprising key messages in line with guidance agreed at briefing stage
• Ensure all outputs comply with pre-agreed running times, file sizes, and formats – and are viewable to a high standard on the pre-agreed delivery devices


Skills and experience required
• 3+ years of experience as a Motion Graphics Designer in a creative agency environment
• Experience working within a medical/pharma agency environment is preferable
• Very strong conceptual design sensibilities and experience, utilises Adobe After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator effectively
• Experience in Cinema 4D, or equivalent, and in videography and editing. High-level proficiency in MS Office suite (ie, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• BFA degree in Motion Graphic Design, or similar
• Ability to convert complex information into a clear audio/visual narrative, and apply meticulous attention to detail
• Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing, and maintains a positive and constructive approach when working under pressure
